In 2015 I was tasked with making two video essays for the unit FAV3116: Animation and Filmosophy. For my first submission, I produced an essay titled Shintoism.
Using my two favourite Studio Ghibli films, My Neighbour Totoro (1988) and Spirited Away (2001) to make the essay, I encased the idea of Hayao Miyazaki using Shintoism religion and tradition within some of his animations dedicated towards children.
